Health Coaching
Knowledge without action is useless. Coaching is the bridge between knowing what to do and actually doing it.
The Missing Piece in Most Health Plans
You've got the lab results. You've got the supplement list. You know you should eat better, sleep more, and manage your stress. So why isn't it happening? Because information alone doesn't change behavior. Habits do. And habits need support.
Health coaching at Meridian is the accountability and guidance layer that makes everything else work. Your coach knows your labs, understands your treatment plan, and meets you where you are. Not where you think you should be. Where you actually are.
We build small, sustainable changes that compound over time. No 180-degree overhauls. No unrealistic protocols. Just consistent progress, tracked and adjusted at every session, until the habits become automatic and the results speak for themselves.
What We Cover in Coaching
Why Coaching Works
Accountability That Works
Knowing what to do is easy. Actually doing it -- consistently -- is the hard part. Regular check-ins keep you on track and catch slips before they become setbacks. You've got someone in your corner.
Plans That Fit Your Life
We don't hand you a 47-page protocol and wish you luck. Your plan fits YOUR schedule, your food preferences, your family, your budget. If it doesn't work in your actual life, it doesn't work. Period.
Lab-Driven Recommendations
This isn't generic wellness advice from a blog. Your coaching is informed by your actual lab results -- hormone levels, nutrient deficiencies, metabolic markers. The data drives the plan.
Virtual or In-Person
Health coaching works great over video. Many of our patients across Jacksonville, Orange Park, and beyond do coaching sessions virtually. Same depth, same support -- from wherever you are.
Frequently Asked Questions
A nutritionist focuses on food. Health coaching covers the full picture -- nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress, supplements, habits, and mindset. And our coaching is directly tied to your clinical care. Your coach knows your lab results, your treatment plan, and your goals. Everything is coordinated.
Typically every 2 to 4 weeks, depending on your program. More frequent at the beginning when we're building habits and making changes. Less frequent as you gain confidence and momentum. Each session is 30 to 45 minutes.
Health coaching is available as part of our functional medicine program. If you're doing lab work and building a health plan with our team, coaching is the support layer that makes it all stick. It's integrated, not standalone.
Yes -- but not through crash diets or extreme restriction. We address the underlying drivers of weight gain: hormone imbalances, inflammation, poor sleep, stress eating, metabolic dysfunction. When those are fixed, weight loss follows. Coaching keeps you consistent through the process.
