Pediatric chiropractic.
Appropriate-scale, gentle care for younger bodies. Light-touch techniques only — nothing like an adult adjustment.
Gentler than a check for ripe fruit.
Pediatric adjustments use sustained light pressure or instrument-assisted contact — never the rotational thrusts used in adults. Most kids find sessions calming.
From the first tumble of crawling to heavy backpacks and contact sports, children's spines are under constant stress — and kids often can't articulate where it hurts. Our exams are thorough yet non-intrusive, designed to make kids comfortable while giving us the full picture.
Common reasons parents bring kids in: latching difficulty, torticollis, recurrent ear issues, posture concerns, sports injuries, or growing-pain complaints. We screen carefully and refer out when something isn't ours to treat.
Birth history, milestones, current concerns, sleep, feeding. We're looking at the whole child — not just the spine.
The foundation is built young
From the first tumble of crawling to heavy backpacks and contact sports, children's spines are under constant stress. Many parents don't realize the long-lasting impact of spinal misalignments — especially since kids often can't articulate where it hurts.
If foundational issues aren't addressed, they compound as the body grows. That's why our exams are thorough yet non-intrusive: designed to make kids comfortable while giving us the full picture of how they move, stand, and develop.
Is it safe? Yes — and here's why
Chiropractic care for children is gentle, safe, and adapted for every age from newborns through teens. We use gentle techniques with pressure adapted for a child's size and age — never the same force used on adults. Care is age-appropriate, with different approaches for newborns, toddlers, school-age kids, and teens.
The exam itself is non-invasive: a thorough assessment without uncomfortable procedures, so kids stay comfortable throughout. And because children are always growing, their care evolves with them — from crawling to competition, we adapt at every stage.
Conditions we help with
Parents bring children to us for a wide range of concerns, including scoliosis, sports injuries, headaches, ear infections, colic, torticollis, poor posture, growing pains, developmental delays, tech neck, and heavy backpack strain.
Because many of these issues are hard for a child to describe, we rely on careful observation, posture assessment, and gentle hands-on evaluation — and we refer out whenever something falls outside chiropractic scope.
What a visit looks like
A pediatric visit follows four gentle steps. First, a child-focused exam covering health history, posture assessment, and a conversation designed to put your child at ease. Second, a gentle spinal assessment using light touch and range-of-motion checks — no cracking, no force.
Third, if needed, light myofascial work to address muscle tension contributing to spinal stress. Finally, take-home movement tips: simple exercises and ergonomic adjustments to reinforce what we do in the office. A parent stays in the room for all of it.
